Evil Sublet is a 2023 supernatural horror movie about a couple who move into a cheap, haunted NYC apartment and must turn to unlikely allies when murderous ghosts target them.
Synopsis: A New York couple, enticed by an unbelievably cheap rent, knowingly moves into an apartment with a dark past. At first, the haunted atmosphere seems manageable – a small price to pay for prime real estate. However, the sinister presence within quickly escalates, and the line between the living and the dead begins to blur. As violent, vengeful spirits take control, the couple realizes they are no longer tenants but prisoners in a battle for survival. Trapped in their own home, the once mundane struggle to escape rent costs transforms into a desperate race to flee the malevolent forces that threaten to claim their lives. With each passing night, the apartment’s grip tightens, pushing them toward a deadly confrontation. Now, their only hope lies in outwitting the murderous entities before they become the next victims in the apartment’s gruesome history.
