The Reflected Self is a 2024 psychological horror movie about Dion, who questions his existence as he becomes trapped in a terrifying cycle, shifting uncontrollably between the real world and a distorted mental projection.
Synopsis: Dion and his teenage sister, Nia, inherit a crumbling 18th-century mill, its front door creaking open for the first time in decades after their parents’ untimely death. Struggling under the weight of responsibility, Dion hopes to forge a bond with Nia, something they’ve never truly shared. However, the mill is no haven – it feels alive, its silence punctuated by phantom footsteps and shadowed by a figure only Dion can see: a spectral Victorian woman whose hollow gaze chills him to the core. One night, Dion wakes in an unsettlingly vivid reality, the boundaries between his mind and the world around him unraveling. Each slip into the otherworld tightens its grip, pulling him further from the sister he swore to protect. As the line between real and imagined dissolves, Dion must uncover the truth before he loses himself – and Nia – forever.
