The Bayou is a 2025 creature feature horror movie about a plane crash in the Louisiana Everglades, where survivors face something far deadlier than the swamp itself lurking in the shallows.
Synopsis: Kyle is a shadow of her former self, haunted by the death of her sister Jamie during a botched robbery. Guilt for failing to save her has hollowed her out, leaving her estranged from friends, family, and her own dreams. After a year of isolation, Kyle reluctantly agrees to a Spring Break road trip through the Deep South to scatter Jamie’s ashes, hoping for closure. The journey takes a perilous turn when the group hires a decrepit, off-the-books seaplane piloted by Frank, a hungover and cynical aviator. Turbulence strikes over Louisiana’s sprawling Bayou, crashing the plane into 375 miles of mosquito-infested swampland. Stranded without a radio or signal, the survivors face dehydration, panic – and something far worse. Massive, chemically altered alligators, faster and deadlier than anything natural, begin their hunt.
