The Call is a 2020 psychological horror movie where, connected by phone 20 years apart, a serial killer manipulates a woman’s past and life, risking everything to rewrite her own twisted fate.
Synopsis: When 28-year-old Seo-yeon loses her cell phone en route to visit her estranged, ailing mother in a remote village, she stumbles upon an old cordless phone buried deep in the junk closet of her childhood home. Moments after reconnecting it, she receives a strange call from a woman named Young-sook, frantically asking for a friend. Dismissing it as a wrong number, Seo-yeon ends the conversation – only to discover that the call originated from within the same house, but twenty years in the past. What begins as a seemingly innocent coincidence spirals into a chilling connection that transcends time, pulling Seo-yeon into a nightmare where the past threatens to change her present forever.
