Deus Irae is a 2023 supernatural horror movie about a priest torn between guiding the faithful through miracles and brutally exorcising the possessed with his excommunicated allies – armed with Bibles, fire, and shotguns.
Synopsis: Father Javier walks the razor’s edge between faith and fury. By day, he guides families through miracles they barely comprehend. By night, he joins a renegade trio of excommunicated priests, wielding Bibles, fire, and shotguns to hunt and destroy the possessed – defying the Church and its doctrines. However, Evil grows stronger, more cunning, and to annihilate it, Javier faces an unholy ultimatum: become something darker, something monstrous. How much of his humanity, his faith, and his sanity is he willing to sacrifice to confront the Devil on its own terms? In this battle, salvation is a distant dream, and the line between priest and predator blurs with every soul he tries to save – and every sin he commits to survive.
