Get Away is a 2024 slasher horror movie where a family’s peaceful vacation to a remote island spirals into terror when they uncover the presence of a relentless serial killer lurking among them.
Synopsis: The Smith family, eager for a much-needed escape, sets off for a small Swedish island, Svälta, despite ominous warnings from the mainlanders. The locals urge them to avoid the island, especially during the mysterious Karantan festival, but the Smiths dismiss the advice and board the ferry anyway. Upon arrival, the islanders’ cold hostility hints at something brewing – perhaps a cult ritual or a dark, looming event. However, the Smiths remain unfazed, immersing themselves in serene swims, forest hikes, and the eerie tranquility of their surroundings. After all, the isolation is just what they wanted – because the Smiths have their own unsettling agenda.
