Monster Summer is a 2024 supernatural horror movie about a group of friends who join forces with a retired detective to confront a sinister force threatening their island, turning their summer of fun into a battle for survival.
Synopsis: When his closest friend inexplicably vanishes, a local boy finds himself gripped by an unshakable belief that a malevolent supernatural force is preying on the children of Martha’s Vineyard. Desperate and determined, he joins forces with a seasoned but retired detective, whose own haunted past lends a grim urgency to their quest. Their investigation leads them down a twisted path to a reclusive former witch, who has recently retreated into the island’s enigmatic shadows. Together, they plunge into a chilling labyrinth of secrets and dark magic, uncovering long-buried truths that shake the very foundation of their community.
