Synopsis
A battle-scarred ex-slave, Barabbas, leads six Union soldiers on a suicide mission to infiltrate a hidden Confederate fort and eliminate its artillery before it reshapes the war. As they push through dense Arkansas wilderness, the oppressive quiet hints at something far worse than enemy troops. Their objective collapses when they discover signs of rituals, long-dried blood, and a force older than the conflict consuming the land. What begins as military sabotage descends into a desperate fight against a buried, ravenous power risen from centuries of darkness. With their minds fraying and no reinforcements coming, the squad must confront a truth that makes the battlefield look merciful.
