Roommate Wanted is a 2020 serial killer horror movie about two college students who unwittingly rent a room to a violent escaped mental patient, unleashing a deadly battle against his many faces of white male rage.
Synopsis: When Maria and Ricky’s roommate dies under strange circumstances, they’re desperate to find a replacement to make rent. After a string of disastrous interviews, Dean seems like the perfect fit – polite, tidy, and unassuming. But their relief quickly sours as Dean’s odd quirks spiral into something far darker. The smell of bleach lingers, strange noises echo at night, and before long, neighbors and friends begin to vanish. Realization dawns too late: their seemingly perfect roommate is a ruthless killer. Trapped in their own apartment with a homicidal maniac, Maria and Ricky must unravel Dean’s chilling secrets and find a way to survive his murderous spree. What began as a search for stability turns into a harrowing fight for their lives as the walls of their home close in, and the body count climbs.
