Rounding is a 2022 psychological horror movie about a driven medical resident who transfers to a rural hospital for a fresh start but becomes consumed by a young asthma patient, awakening his buried traumas.
Synopsis: After a traumatic incident during his residency, young medical student James Hayman seeks refuge in a remote hospital, desperate for a fresh start. However, his emotional wounds run deep, making it difficult to connect with patients. Noticing his struggles, Dr. Harrison urges him to take a class on bedside manner, hoping to bridge the gap between James and those he treats. However, when a young asthma patient exhibits baffling symptoms, James becomes dangerously obsessed. His nightmares intensify, his paranoia spirals, and unexplained injuries begin to appear on his body. As his grip on reality weakens, he teeters on the edge of madness, unable to distinguish between medical fact and a growing, insidious horror. Is his past haunting him, or has something far more sinister taken root in the hospital’s halls?
