Spithood is a 2024 slasher horror movie about an asylum escapee who goes on a killing spree, forcing night shift staff into a desperate fight for survival against their worst nightmare.
Synopsis: On the final night before the mental institution closes its doors forever, the staff is thrust into a nightmare they never anticipated. Ashley, a nurse, struggles to keep her romance with security guard Mason a secret, but the truth comes out during a tense meeting. The night takes a darker turn when the staff must process one last patient – a towering, hooded man accused of slaughtering five women after a tragic hit-and-run claimed his family. The prison transport officer warns them: never remove the hood. As the institution’s final hours tick away, chaos erupts. Kiara, the institution’s unhinged last inmate, becomes dangerously fixated on the new arrival. Tensions rise, alliances shatter, and the body count climbs. What was supposed to be a quiet last shift spirals into a harrowing fight for survival – and not everyone will make it out alive.
