Synopsis: Federal Agent Aaron Falk returns to his drought-stricken hometown after over twenty years to attend the funeral of his childhood friend, Luke. Accused of killing his wife and child before taking his own life, Luke is deemed another casualty of the town’s unraveling under a decade of relentless drought. Reluctantly agreeing to investigate, Falk unearths dark secrets tied to a decades-old tragedy the death of Ellie Deacon, a girl whose memory still haunts him. As the threads of both cases intertwine, Falk confronts the town’s deep-seated prejudice and his own painful past. Battling suspicion and the town’s smoldering rage, Falk races to uncover the truth, proving Luke’s innocence and exorcising the ghosts that have gripped this desperate, fractured community.
