The Funeral is a 2023 zombie horror movie about a hearse driver, Cemal, who discovers eerie groans from a dead girl’s body during a secret transport, igniting a terrifying night of the undead.
Synopsis: Forty-year-old Cemal, a lonely hearse driver accustomed to the silence of the dead, is given a secret task that shatters the monotony of his existence. A young girl named Zeynep has been brutally murdered, her body destined for a sorrowful journey east to her grieving family. As night falls and the road stretches into darkness, Cemal is consumed by the eerie stillness surrounding him. However, that silence is shattered when, in the dead of night, he hears unsettling grunting noises coming from the back of the van. Heart pounding, he pulls over and cautiously opens the back doors. There, amidst the dim light, he finds Zeynep’s lifeless form convulsing with unnatural movements. Panic seizes him as he frantically checks her pulse – only to find none. Her body is cold, yet the grunts persist, echoing in the suffocating darkness.
