There’s Something In The Barn is a 2023 creature feature horror movie about an American family inheriting a remote Norwegian cabin and awakening a deadly, ancient predator tied to the town’s dark legends.
Synopsis: A family moves to their ancestral farm in Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, fulfilling the father’s lifelong dream. Bill, the optimistic yet naive patriarch, embraces the adventure, blind to the challenges. His wife, Carol, hides her unease behind forced cheer, while their teenage daughter, Nora, seethes over leaving her friends. In their new home, young Lucas discovers a strange creature in the barn – a barn elf. A wary local warns him of the ancient legend: follow the “Barn Elf Rules” – no bright lights, no modern changes, no loud noises – or risk dire consequences. Despite Lucas’s frantic pleas, his family dismisses the warnings as superstition, breaking every rule in their rush to modernize and settle. As tensions rise, the farm becomes the stage for horrifying events, as their defiance unleashes the elf’s wrath in gruesome and unrelenting ways.
